Flew by: Scoot (SIN to HKG), TigerAir (HKG to SIN)
SIN to HKG: Flight time was 0155 (GST+8) but got delayed for 1.2 hours or so, reached HKG around close to 0700.
HKG to SIN: Flight time was 1855, arrived in SIN around 11pm.
The reason why we didn't fly by SQ / Cathay was because it was way too expensive, and not like we'll be eating onboard. So my mum decided to try Scoot and only to find out that return flight was operated by Tigers.
Pros: My first experience with Scoot was not bad except I had toddlers kicking my chair and yelling/crying because she was cold (LOL but it was hot to me)
Cons: Eh...if return flight is by Scoot, it would be better haha.
Min's tip: Give Scoot a try next time if you are flying! Save $$$ to eat/shop im HKG. But you can always take Cathay Pacific if you are Oneworld member.
Stayed at: Hotel Rainbow
Pros: 5-7 mins walk from Jordan MTR station, near Citybus bus stop, near ADC.
Cons: Bed too hard for me(simmons bed though), and shower area a little bit small but doable la. $$$ 一分钱一分货
Min's tip: If you're on a budget, I highly recommend trying this hotel!
Data roaming: Mobile wifi from ChangiRecommends.
Cons: Limited data usage. Connection not very good.
Min's tip: My dad bought a 5 day sim card and the connection is so much better and unlimited data some more. Regret not getting one for myself. I end up have to 省点data 来用 because of the 500mb per day limit.
Money: 1SGD: HKD5.5-5.6 like that. (Feb 2016)
Min's tip: Keep some SGD, change at Tsim Sha Tsui (there's a lot of money exchange at the sams building selling Jenny's cookie)
Airport Transfer: CityBus/ Cityflyer
Pros: Directly outside the street of our hotel.
Cons: Erm...not that I encountered of.
Min's tip: Try to stay somewhere near the bus stops that has cityflyer bus stops.
Travelling around Hong Kong: Octopus card is the way to go!
Min's tip: Refund your card at the statiom when you are returning back go SIN. And use the $$$ to eat at the airport *laugh cry*
Day 1: +852 HKG bound, Citygate outlet shopping & Mongkok.
Day 2: ADC for breakfast, Mongkok, Kam's goose, Via Tokyo, Hysan place.
Day 3: Disneyland + Chung Kee dessert & Nathan's porridge.
Day 4: LFY @ TST, Hysan place, Central, The peak, Trickeye museum, wax museum, Sky terrace, Star ferry.
Day 5: Macdonalds for breakfast, mongkok, one dim sum, & +65 SIN bound.
